The Lady and Sons Beer-Battered Fried Shrimp

Ingredients

  • 1 cup beer
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • for frying oil
  • 2 lbs shrimp

Directions

Using a bowl, combine the beer, flour, and salt, and allow to sit at room temperature for 2-3 hours. Dip the shrimp in the batter and fry at 350 °F for approximately 2 to 3 minutes. Drain shrimp on paper towels.

My husband is from Mobile, ALA HE CALLED HIS MOTHER WHO USED TO FIXED BATTERED SHRIMP AND ASK HOW SHE DID IT...WELL IT DID NOT COME OUT GOOD....SO HE IS VERY EXCITED TO HEAR THAT PAULA DEEN HAS A RECIPE... WILL TRY AND LET YOU KNOW....
