Peach Carousel Pizza

Ingredients
Pizza Crust
- 1½ cup flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ cup cheddar cheese
- ½ cup shortening
- 4 to 5 tablespoons water
Peach Carousel Pizza
- ½ cup butterscotch morsels
- 2 tablespoons evaporated milk
- 1 (29-ounce) can sliced peaches, drained
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- ¼ cup maraschino cherries
- ½ cup chopped pecans
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup brown sugar
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
Directions
Pizza Crust
Mix together all ingredients.
Roll out dough, or use your hands to spread dough, and place on lightly greased pizza pan.
Peach Carousel Pizza
Preheat oven to 425˚F.
Melt the butterscotch morsels and evaporated milk together; then drizzle over dough.
Sprinkle lemon juice on the peach slices before arranging the peaches and maraschino cherries on the dough.
Next, combine the pecans, granulated sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cornstarch, and then sprinkle the mixture on the pizza.
Bake for 25 to 35 minutes
Cook’s Note: The juices tend to run off the pan and into the bottom of the oven. She recommends putting a drip pan underneath to avoid a mess.
