Grilled Fruit with Bourbon Glaze

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 juiced lemons
  • 2 cups packed firmly light brown sugar
  • 2 sticks softened butter
  • 1/4 cup bourbon
  • cut in half (peaches or plums) assorted fruit

Directions

Carefully pour Bourbon into hot saucepan. Burn off the alcohol. Add butter, brown sugar, lemon juice and water. Bring to a boil whisking until all the sugar is dissolved. Simmer for 5 minutes. Let cool to thicken. Toss fruit with the glaze to coat or brush glaze over fruit with a pastry brush. Place fruit on grill and turn once when light grill marks appear. Serve with ice cream and drizzle remaining glaze over the fruit. Serving suggestion is about 2 pieces of fruit per person.

I can no longer find your sweet bourben glaze at our walmart. Cannot find it in any of the grocery stores. HELP
