Grammy Langley’s Chocolate Cake

Ingredients
Grammy Langley's Chocolate Cake
- 2 cups sugar
- 3 cups flour
- ⅔ cup cocoa powder
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons vinegar
- ⅔ cup vegetable oil
- 2 cups cold water
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
Whoopie Pie Frosting
- 4 tablespoons shortening
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 2½ cups confectioners' sugar
- 4 teaspoons vanilla
- 14 ounces (1 large jar) marshmallow fluff
Directions
Grammy Langley's Chocolate Cake
Preheat oven to 350˚F.
Mix together all ingredients until smooth. Divide batter evenly between 2 prepared 9-inch round pans.
Bake for 25 to 30 minutes.
Whoopie Pie Frosting
Mix well until smooth and frost the cake when it’s completely cooled.
