These cookies are so delicious and as Paula mentioned, they're easy to make. Thank you for posting the recipe details on this site. I watch Paula making a dish, and then I come to your site to print out the recipe. I really enjoy Paula on youtube. I look forward to watching her every day. Thank you!

Recipe doesn't specify which type of flour all-purpose or self rising. which one?

If a recipe doesn't specify, you should always go with all-purpose!

How would substituting dark chocolate for less sweet cookie turn out?

I am concerned that the recipe as is would be too sweet, so I wonder if using dark chocolate instead would be a good approach--what do you think? SHould I do half and half instead? I do not want to "risk" 2 cups of pecans making a recipe that is overly sweet or not sweet enough. Thank you.

I would recommend going with the semi-sweet morsels instead of the milk chocolate!
