Ingredients
- 5 to 6 slices bacon
- 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch cubes
- ½ cup brown sugar
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
- ⅛ teaspoon black pepper
- oil, for spraying
- barbecue sauce, for dipping
Directions
Cut each slice of bacon into three pieces. Wrap one piece of bacon around one cube of chicken and fasten with toothpick. In a bowl, combine brown sugar, salt, cayenne pepper, and black pepper. Roll chicken-and-bacon-cubes in mixture to coat well.
Working in batches of 10, spray each cube with oil and place in air fryer basket in single layer. Do not overcrowd. Set temperature to 400 degrees, and air fry for 10 minutes. Turn cubes, spray with oil, and air fry for 5 minutes more. Fry longer if bacon should be well done. Repeat with remaining cubes. Serve warm with barbecue sauce on the side.
