While we love just about every fruit and veggie out there, there are some that we love more than others. In fact, there are some we love with every bit of us—from our head to our toes. Included in our VIP produce list? Tomatoes!
They’re delicious fresh from the vine, when tossed in salt or vinegar, or when breaded and fried. Plus, they are a favorite topping for our burgers and are featured prominently in some of our favorite dishes—pizza, spaghetti, salsa, chili, and a whole lot more! We’ll eat tomatoes any way we can get them.
One thing we absolutely adore is how they add such pretty color to so many dishes—red, of course, but also green, yellow, orange, and even purple! Plus, they’re chock-full of antioxidants and are loaded with great nutrients, like vitamin C, potassium, folate, and vitamin K.
