It likely comes as no surprise that we’ve got a sweet tooth—our boss can make a mean dessert, after all! And with Thanksgiving, the king of holiday eating, around the corner, there’s one thing we can all agree on—Thanksgiving just isn’t complete without a delicious pie to follow the turkey, cranberry, and dressing.
The one thing we can’t agree on? Well, that would be which of the two iconic Thanksgiving pies reigns supreme! While apple, cherry, coconut, and banana cream pies are all delicious, there’s no denying that, when it comes to Thanksgiving, it’s all about pumpkin and pecan!
While it’s obviously a personal choice, we still can’t help but battle it out here in our office. Some of us prefer the sugary sweet custard and crunch you get from a traditional pecan pie. Some of us prefer the smooth, creamy texture and warm, comforting spices of a classic pumpkin pie. And some of us just couldn’t pick if we had to!
If you’re like us and are split over which to serve, you could make both or you could try a wonderful recipe that combines the two—this incredible Pumpkin Pecan Pie, for instance.
Let us know in the comments on which side you fall in the debate—team pumpkin pie or team pecan pie!
